Response to Reading

I feel that a lot of people do not take the value and harm of chemicals serioously. Many people do not realize how much chemicals in this world are affecting our planet. The side affects are harmful and tragic.

Comments on Multi-Modal Essays

I feel that this essay has helped me with my writing because it gives me more outlooks and different writing techniques for my paper. I feel that my writing style has changed a bit because using different forms of text helps explain the meaning maybe I could not say in writing, but in words. This was my favorite eassy that we have done so far. I feel it was the easiest way to get the meaning and explain my argument to the class. Using different forms of text is a great way to portray meaning other than in writing.

Readings for 3/26

In the readings we had to read for Wednesday, I feel that they are all directed towards male vs female and white vs black. I am a firm believer that everyone is created equally and that everyone deserves an equal chance at everything. No male or female, white or black person should stand out in the crowd. The readings give alot of examples and they clearly explain how in todays society how we treat our respected others. I do not think that cause your are black or white you should get certain privledges or priorities, or even if you are male or female. Everyone deserves an equal chance and should be treated with the same respect as you would want to be treated.

How to write with style

I read How To Write With Style in chapter 4, and I feel alot of what Vonnegut says is true. There are two specific examples in which I feel best suit me or are a true fact that everyone should be follow. The first one is that Vonnegut is from Indianapolis and that his writing style reflects that, and he says that there is no other alternative. I agree with that because where ever you were born and raised I feel that that is where you learn how to talk and write. Don't change the way you talk or write just because it is not correct.

The second specific example is about the Picasso-style and the jazz-style or writing. Vonnegut explains that you cannot sting your words together, like the book gives, higgledy-piggledy. If you want someone to be able to recognize your style of writing and be able to interprut the message behind it then you cannot have this style of writing. After reading this article, I realized that I do have my own unique style of writing. I believe that everyone should be able to be distinguished be their style of writing.

Why I Want A Wife - Judy Brady

As I was reading this selection, I was telling myself that I hope I'm never single and lonely. I want to fine a good wife that will support me. The piece I read lists of bunch of things that he wishes his wife would do for him if he ever became married again. I feel the exact same way. I hope that one day I can find the right person for me and have a happy future. Almost everything he says, I agree with. The way it sends, I like a lot. He explains why he wants a wife really bad, then he tells you that after he is out of school, he wants his wife to be a stay at home mother. I enjoyed reading this mini piece.

About myself

My name is Adam Hosner and I am a third semester sophomore. I am 20 years old and I love playing sports, espically tennis. I also coach tennis at Lake High School as the head Junior Varisty Boys. I went to Jackson High School, a local school, close to Stark State. I love being spontaneous and doing whatever is fun.
